Or he would have started writing about it in his livejournal, then started a second livejournal solely for updates on the Challenger shuttle project, then founded a community for discussion about the feasibility of building models out of lots and lots of matchsticks, then the community would have had a feud about whether it was solely for matchsticks or if tongue depressors or ice-lolly sticks were okay, and if any models could be discussed or just spacecraft, and then three spin-off communities would have been founded, and at least one hundred-comment thread would have been cited on lj_drama...
and he still wouldn't have finished his model of the Challenger.
