One Swan, Two Coots and Lots of Aggro

Swans. Such serene, peaceful creatures, aren't they?



No, not really. (Click on any picture for a bigger version).

It didn't look as if any lasting harm was done, but I certainly learned what coot swearwords sound like! With thanks to flickgc and drplokta, who were showing me around the scenery at the former Surrey Docks when we got treated to this little fracas.

Great photos. Once watched a swan chase off a dog that was hassling ducks in a lake. The swan gently cruised over, and when he reached the dog reared up full height, wings out stretched. You have never seen a dog swim so fast.
