It's not often I get technolust over an item of clothing, but a discussion on CIX about recommendations for multi-pocket waistcoats pointed me to the SCOTTeVEST.

Oh dear, I think the special gene that codes for a fetish for multitools has triggered on this as well.

I saw this when it first came out, ordered one, never received it (but luckily was never billed), and have been spammed by the b*st*rds ever since.

I've vague memories of autopope pointing out some irregularity in their patent, too. Something to do with screwing over the folk at the MIT Media Lab?

I think they might have trouble getting a UK patent, in that the core idea (running cable tunnels between pockets) is perhaps what would be considered 'obvious', and anyway there is almost certainly prior art. However, US patents are a different matter, and it wouldn't surprise me if they do get one granted.

As for your experience ordering, hmmm. The company claim to only sell online, so presumably must ship most orders or they'd go bust. However, your experience does suggest rather crap service! I'm not inclined to order one right now, but will bear your experience in mind if I do.
