Flowerpot-Licking Surrender Squirrels
Jun. 14th, 2003 09:05 amWe've got a large flowerpot on our patio, full of pansies (except when the bunnies eat them). Just now
bugshaw noticed a squirrel playing around by it; on closer inspection, it was avidly licking the side of the pot:

Presumably it was after the green mould/algae that covers most stuff left out in the garden for long enough. But it must have found it very tasty, as it was licking away with a rapt attention that made me wonder if the pot was loaded with sugar, or perhaps whatever the squirrel equivalent of catnip is.
