Ahem. Guilty admission time - I have a standing Google search on my name. It's to look and see if there are any references to my academic work, but about half the time it triggers on one of the occasional other Simon Bradshaws out there. As indeed it did today, but in a way that made me do a double take:

"Insp Simon Bradshaw, of Lothian and Borders Police, said: "This case serves as a tragic reminder of the potential consequences of drink driving..."
Having read Halting State, and a draft of its sequel, Rule 34, my immediate impression was not only that
autopope had put me into one of his Edinburgh novels but that he'd done it in real life and ten years too soon.
