How long has this space invader (one wearing a red beret, by the looks of it) been adorning this wall at the south end of West Central Street? Perhaps it's on its way to Forbidden Planet, about a hundred metres due west...

Looks like Invader's work (or that of an imitator) to me. I've noticed his characters in Barcelona and Copenhagen, but I've never seen any in London before!

Oh there are lots around London - I've found at least 4 (in and around Covent Garden and Farringdon).

There's an exhibition of his work somewhere in London at the moment, so that (and the other large one I found in Old Street last week) could be part of it.

I think it's probably that I tend to wander round London with my eyes shut, because it's so familiar. I notice a lot more when I'm travelling!
