BBC: A German man has blown up his flat while trying to mend an inflatable mattress, local fire officials say.

I think this chap has just learned the hard way what a fuel-air explosive is.

A Bad Thing, but a Very Neat Bad Thing...

(the legal aspects of one of the other stories linked from that page intrigue me, too: an actor from the Harry Potter films has just been put on trial for a drugs offence discovered when a police officer arrested him for taking pictures of the police and then discovered pictures of cannabis plants on his digital camera - is that sort of thing likely to lead to the actor getting off on a technicality?)

Hmmm, probably not. Even if the arrest was unlawful that does not automatically mean that evidence found in a search arising from it was inadmissible.
