Just a quick reminder that one of the best films of the 1980s is on ITV1 at 1035. Anthony Hopkins might have been scary as Hannibal Lecter, but five years earlier Brian Cox had been utterly chilling. Made by Michael Mann in the middle of his Miami Vice period - and boy, does it show - it's also notable for starring a very young William Peterson in a role that oddly prefigures, but is very different from, his one in CSI.

Date: 2008-06-17 06:50 pm (UTC)An excellent movie with all the trademarks of Michael Mann but entertaing to boot. Brian Cox was a great Lecter and Ralph Fiennes didn't do well in RED DRAGON (music was good tho').
It's a movie that makes me enjoy CRIMINAL MINDS all the more!
