Hume Tower Reflections

Hume Tower Reflections 2

Afternoon sunlight reflected onto Edinburgh University's Hume Tower from the windows of the building to the north.

It was a nice, crisp day yesterday so I thought I'd finally get around to doing the photo-essay on my walk into college that I've been planning for a while. That involved a lot of pictures so I'll probably not get around to posting it until the New Year, but I took a fair few other photos during the day, some of which I'll put up sooner.

I daresay you've already twigged that the close-up resembles out-of-focus images of human chromosomes....

It would be fitting if the Hume Tower housed life sciences, but I think it's mainly the School of Humanities in there.

And I thought like socks on a washing line!

Pretty. There is a quality to winter sunlight that is quite unique.

At first I thought it looked like chromosomes but with careful examination, they also look like dancing Goddess figures! Either way, it's a cool pic!
