Apparently it took the chap who made it five years to animate.

Fab CG. Love the wading across the sea bit. Liked the story a lot till the US robot appeared as I wanted to see how the conventional weapons got the better of the Nazi Giant!

Very cool, but... It's right next to a bunch of ships with very large guns. Which I can't help but think would have had a better effect than the planes' machine guns.

That was rather what I thought. Even if the shells didn't fuse at point-blank range, a ton of pointy steel going at half a mile per second would rather spoil even the biggest Mecha's day.
