Thankful for small mercies

Lying in bed with a cold has been made more bearable by two things:

- The large pike of hankies I bought at a discount a few months ago; and,
- BBC iPlayer on my iPhone, which is perfectly watchable even on a small screen.

For the latter, I particularly enjoyed The Man behind the Masquerade, a respectful peek into the normally private life of artist Kit Williams, and Dreamland, the new animated Doctor Who story.

Also, much cheered by the latest University Challenge, in which my alma mater Imperial College gave St Hugh's College Oxford a complete thrashing.
