The Exeter Pigeon-Murderer
Dec. 5th, 2009 09:15 pmA teenager has pleaded guilty to killing a pigeon by hitting it with a skateboard.
Raphael Thomas, of Sidbury, Devon, was charged with intentionally killing a wild bird following the incident in Parliament Street, Exeter, last month.
The 19-year-old was given a three-month conditional discharge at Central Devon Magistrates' Court.
I wondered at first if this was a case of Causing Avian Death By Reckless Skateboarding but this report indicates that it was assault with malice aforethought, albeit on grounds of wanting to eat the poor thing.
At least he wasn't up in front of General Melchett.
