Gah. I have just broken my third successive Confabulation Pint Glass.

You know, the really nice ones that the '95 Eastercon produced, with a moose design and a 'Drink Me' label.

It was a washing-up accident. Or, more exactly, a draining-board accident. A bowl tipped over in the drying rack, tipping another bowl, and a glass, and then the Confabulation glass. I just had time for a cry of "Shit!" and to make a fumbled grab which saved the former glass but not the latter.

The previous Confabulation glass went under similar circumstances. The one before that was on a desk when I picked up [livejournal.com profile] bugshaw's Psion 3 without noticing that the power lead was plugged in, scooping it off onto the floor.

Sigh. Perhaps the Cabal can let me have one more - on the strict understanding that it lives in our display cabinet, next to our other decorative and delicate glassware. Or maybe I should just bundle it up in a cubic foot of bubblewrap and weld it into a safe...
