See you in Court?

It's not often that I suggest a trip to Court as an idea for an evening out, but in this instance I think it may be of wider interest. On Friday 4th November, noted barrister Nigel Pascoe QC will be presenting his one-man staging of the Trial of Penn and Mead. William Penn and William Mead were two Quakers prosecuted in 1670 for unlawful assembly; their trial is famous for the refusal, even under duress, of the jury to find them guilty, in a case that led to the lasting principle that a jury is free to find its own verdict.
The production will be staged in Court 4 of the Royal Courts of Justice, the Strand, at 7.30pm, lasting about an hour. The cost is £10; if you are interested in coming, let me know ASAP and I will see if places are available. Apparently the cost includes a glass of wine, although I can assure you from personal experience that the RCJ is surrounded by numerous drinking establishments should one wish to meet up before or afterwards.
