Name a CD you own that no-one else on your friends list does:
Tales of Mystery and Imagination, The Alan Parsons Project. We APP fans seem to be a depressingly rare breed; at least, I was the only person in the audience to laugh at the relevent joke in Austin Powers 2.

Name a book you own that no-one else on your friends list does:
Lots of specialist techie stuff, but I'll pick F-4 Phantom: A Pilot's Story by Robert Prest. A wonderful example of fanwriting outside of fandom, the author's tales of life as a 1970s RAF fighter pilot are superbly-written and some of the most evocative descriptions of flight I've ever seen.

Name a movie you own on DVD/VHS/whatever that no-one else on your friends list does:
If we're allowed TV series compilations, then Reboot Series 3. Early (but still very nice) CGI animation with incredibly witty and reference-loaded scripts.

Name a place that you have visited that no-one else on your friends list has:
Goose Green, East Falkland.

I've got ToM&I on tape. But I'm very jealous re Goose Green (even though I understand it is rather like, f'r example, a February visit to the North Yorkshire coast).

That about sums it up: hummocky heathland with (as usual in the Falklands) no trees and the odd small brook or hillock. I visited on a 'battlefield tour' which involved a guided walk-though of the British attack. It was only two or three miles, but then we weren't doing it at night, carrying 50lb of equipment and with people shooting at us.

I have both versions of TOM&I - plus as much of Reboot on VHS that I can find!

I've only managed to find one pre-series 3 tape of Reboot so I've actually not seen very much of the early stuff. For that matter, I've not seen series 4 (or rather the two TV movies that followed series 3) but I understand that it has now come out on DVD so should probably try to get hold of it.

I used to have that Alan Parsons album, but it went with the first husband at the divorce.
