Date: 2004-04-02 01:56 pm (UTC)Hellboy really does look like it might be the definitive Really Good Adaptation of a Really Good Comic. It helps no end of course that the director is a fan of the comic and that the comic's writer has been deeply involved in the film. Even so, the propensity for Hollywood to screw this sort of thing up is almost infinite so I'm delighted to see that Mignola and del Toro seem to have brought it to screen pretty much intact.
