Saturday continued to be wet but we braved a shopping trip to Guildford to scout out miscellaneous bits of furniture for new house. Discover that Habitat sell a random bit of 'house decoration' that comprises a couple of dozen fluffy brown pom-poms strung out on a bit of black elastic cord. It looks like nothing so much as a Tribble-hunter's trophy necklace. After popping into Cancom to get a quote for an iBook with all the trimmings it was over to Tonbridge for a most pleasant afternoon and evening with
Sunday it continued to piss down, so we shelved the plan for a scenic country walk and instead went to the surprisingly non-crap new mall at Basingstoke to see Matrix Revolutions at the cinema there. The film was better than we expected (although still very flawed), the nearby Indian buffet was very good, and we even got some more useful shopping done before a Car Park Experience From Hell involving an exit barrier that refused to believe I'd paid...
