The Axis of Just As Evil
Mar. 6th, 2003 10:53 pmYes, I know it's one of last year's jokes, but at times like these we need all the laughs we can possibly milk out of the whole sordid situation.
Of course, they've left out the Axis of Countries That Want To Sue

Date: 2003-03-07 04:39 am (UTC)Went to the anti-war rally yesterday. About three thousand people there - all terribly quiet and Edinburgh. One of the stewards on the march, trying to egg people on to chant or shout or make noise, was calling "State your views! Let them hear what you think!" and Homosamurai #1, walking next to me, said "I think it's going to rain." (But it didn't.) At the rally itself, Tommy Sheridan was pretty good, but I left after George Galloway - had an unbreakable appointment at 6:30. One of the other homosamurai contingent on the march said a good Edinburgh slogan would be "You'll have had your war." The plan is when a href="http://argument.independent.co.uk/regular_columnists/johann_hari/story.jsp?story=384547">war breaks out, there's to be a rally at 5pm that day in Parliament Square. Concerted acts of civil disobedience thereafter - Not In Our Name stuff. I'm depressed again.
