Further Adventures in Cat-Sitting

Potchka seems to have taken to me very well. A little too well, perhaps, as she decided that I was a sufficiently appropriate target for affection for her to jump onto my lap whilst I was drinking a glass of red wine.

Whilst wearing a white shirt. A very nice white shirt from Messrs T M Lewin which I had been wearing for my weekly Advocacy practical.

I may, as I ran off into the kitchen to swiftly disrobe, rinse said item and then bung it in my host's washing machine, have made remarks to Ms P along the lines that Bad Kitties will end up being recycled as surgical sutures.*

However, it all came out in the wash - literally - and there are no hard feelings on either side. I even put up with the 'if I sit on your chest will I get breakfast sooner?' act at 5am...


* Yes, I have been reading American Cyanamid v Ethicon. Although we learn it because it's the leading case on the grounds for seeking an interim injunction, the case itself was about a patent dispute regarding artificial replacements for catgut** sutures.

** Which, according to this article, were made of the inside of anything but cats. But Ms P doesn't know that.

Actually, given that's your default, it could be confusing. I'll think about making another. I don't know how long I'll keep my hair like this.

I can change my default - that's no problem. I just never get around to doing it so it stays at this. This is, after all, a lot more apt for you than the girl with foot and a half long black hair with random, natural highlights.
