Odd sights of the last few days
Nov. 13th, 2008 06:02 amI was at a seminar at UCL's Institute for Child Health the other day (it was actually on patent law - UCL's law dept were just using the lecture theatre there) and popped into the gents. Where I found that someone had made rather an odd architectural decision as to where to site a couple of large mirrors...

It's not so much the infinite array of urinals - more the dozens of versions of you all, well, engaged in what a bloke does when standing in front of one of them.
And last night took me to the Scotch Malt Whisky Society's London tasting rooms. On entering, you see a display of unusual whisky bottles, of which this one was my favourite:

You can't read the small print, but you probably won't be surprised to hear that it explains that (a) this is actually very nice single malt, and (b) it's for leaving on the shelf when you have visitors who are prone to quaffing your good stuff without properly appreciating it.
