Not Enough Fourth Wednesdays!

I had to miss last month's BSFA meeting because of a short-notice change of another commitment and thus missed seeing fjm's interview. Now I find that next week's event, featuring John Clute, clashes with this seminar on Copyright and Parody. Given that I see John quite regularly and that the seminar touches on a very topical matter for filk and fanfic writers of my acquaintance, I think I'll have to give John my apologies and head off to Fetter Lane instead.

(By an odd coincidence, Bird and Bird's HQ is built on the site of the original White Horse, so I will be at a fannish gathering in spirit. Which is not quite the same, of course, as being at a fannish gathering knocking back the spirits...)

Speaking of pub ghosts... I was wandering around Moorgate tube recently, trying to find the One Tun. I couldn't find it, but there are a lot of new buildings there. I guess it's either changed its name or has been flattened. Any ideas?

That looks right. And the One Tun was still there last winter so no reason to think it's not there now. Someone even suggested taking the First Thursday back there last time we moved...
