Does anyone have any spare 7" diameter take-up reels for 1/4" audio tape? They would look something like this, and as the description suggests would be about 7 inches (18 cm) across and a quarter of an inch (6 mm) between the sides of the reel.

(Yes, I've extracted the old BSFA tape library and a reel-to-reel player from storage, but I can't seem to find the empty take-up reel I had. I do of course have about a hundred full reels, but I can't do much with them until I have an empty one to spool on to...)

EDIT Ah, found some. Four suspiciously light tape archive boxes proved to have spare reels in them. Crisis over!

Maybe. I've just junked my 4000DS and the spool may have gone with it.

Somewhere it is written that as soon as you finally throw something away, a use for it will materialise.

I was going to say, perhaps I have something, but then I remembered that it's my reel-to-reel recorder that you've got.

And now I've managed to find them - but thanks anyway!
