Glancing out my bay window earlier this evening my eye was caught by an odd, colourful glow in the direction of St Chad's Cathedral.

Brum-Sunset-12-Apr-12

It looks like an impressive sunset (which itself was out of view off to my left) reflecting off heavy rain falling to the north of the city centre, perhaps even with an element of rainbow behind the spires of St Chad's.

Oh lovely. My work is moving to Birmingham in the autumn.

BTW Did you hear the sonic boom this evening?

What gorgeous light!

My visual highlight of the day: I saw a double rainbow today out the back window.

I think that's the best thing ever about St Chad's. What are you doing in Brum?

A I recall: Time was Birmingham (in general) and the Black Country where I used to live (in particular) were famous for their sunsets on account of all the crap that was floating in the air from the furnaces and workshops of the cradle of the industrial revolution.
