I have a pad in London! After having had my offer on a flat in Limehouse accepted back in early August, the sale finally completed today, after epic EDIT OK, actually fairly moderate in comparison with those experienced by some people delays whilst Tower Hamlets rooted around in their files to see if the building it was in (a former factory) was hideously contaminated with industrial waste. It seems not, so matters finally ahead. The next step is to get it rented out and earning me an income whilst I'm still up in Edinburgh.

I have been cited in the Independent on Sunday! Every week they run a 'spot the fact' quiz on some random item; this week it was Teapots, and one of the purported facts was that a group of scientists - referenced as 'Bradshaw, 2001' - has published research into the practicality of chocolate teapots. This was of course the odd-one-out actual fact, for someone had evidently stumbled across my piece in PLOKTA! I am thoroughly chuffed at such fame, although I suppose I ought to write in to point out that this was not some frivolous waste of taxpayers' money but rather a silly bit of fun at our 2000 New Year Party.

I wonder if I should add that piece in Plokta to my publication list in that case! After all I don't get many papers referenced in a national newspaper...

Yup, that sounds like London buying. We had the offer accepted in November on our place and completed in late Feb.

Not people staying; we're having a party on Saturday evening, so you could come and help us pour drink into people...
