Time flies, you know. It's two years since I went to a Novacon (last year I was stuck somewhere hot, sandy and prone to loud bangs) and for that matter a good six months since I properly attended a convention. So many people I hadn't seen for far too long! Definitely the best aspect of Novacon was the chance to catch up with people, be it through Deep and Meaningful conversation (OK, I'm not sure how much of that I was providing) or just random chat in the bar. Beyond the convention itself,
swisstone and I made a brief escape to the RAF Museum Cosford to gawp at the new Cold War Museum, of which there will be many photos later; for now I'll just say that it was clearly designed by someone who wasn't content to put airfix models on the shelf but instead hung them in mid-zoom pose from the ceiling and has now had the chance to do the same with the real thing. Special thanks to
alex_holden for being the perfect room-share partner, and to
ms_cataclysm for being likewise to
bugshaw, thus helping her have a much-appreciated enjoyable time at Novacon.
