Flypast Updates

Saturday 16th June, 1pm - Queen's Birthday Flypast.

Sunday 17th June, 4.45pm - Falklands 25th Anniversary Flypast.

Both of these follow similar routes: forming up over Essex, then approaching over Barkingside, Leytonstone and Cambridge Heath before the final approach over Shoreditch, the Barbican, along the Strand and down the Mall.

The weather forecast for Sunday is currently looking rather better than for Saturday.

I've just been reading Vulcan 607 - it's a real shame that the Vulcan that's being rebuilt isn't going to be ready (unless their web site is out of date).

Hmmm... if I'm reading that map correctly the turn to the right after the palace is going to be taking them in the general direction of my house - probably not as near as the Lancaster and fighter escort that flew right overhead at a few hundred feet few years ago - and me without my camera - but should at least be in view. Or not, depending on how wide they take the turn.
