As someone who has flown light aircraft and spent many years having Flight Safety hammered into me, I have to say I'm not entirely comfortable with someone flying around with the mother of all Loose Cockpit Articles on the coaming. And given how loud it is inside one of these (I've always flown with ear defenders or a helmet) I'd worry about the poor thing's hearing. But... it's still awfully cute, and prompts a whole load of aviation gags. I mean, I'd always wondered why they call it a Cat 1 instrument landing system...
(Actually, I think this is the prototype tuna-fuelled Artificial Horizon. After all, have you ever tried turning a cat upside down against its will? With one of these about, you always know which way is up!)
