Name a CD you own that no-one else on your friends list does:
Tales of Mystery and Imagination, The Alan Parsons Project. We APP fans seem to be a depressingly rare breed; at least, I was the only person in the audience to laugh at the relevent joke in Austin Powers 2.

Name a book you own that no-one else on your friends list does:
Lots of specialist techie stuff, but I'll pick F-4 Phantom: A Pilot's Story by Robert Prest. A wonderful example of fanwriting outside of fandom, the author's tales of life as a 1970s RAF fighter pilot are superbly-written and some of the most evocative descriptions of flight I've ever seen.

Name a movie you own on DVD/VHS/whatever that no-one else on your friends list does:
If we're allowed TV series compilations, then Reboot Series 3. Early (but still very nice) CGI animation with incredibly witty and reference-loaded scripts.

Name a place that you have visited that no-one else on your friends list has:
Goose Green, East Falkland.

Thanks for all the good wishes and enquiries as to how it went!

'Very well, I think' is my initial response. The only serious worries I had were dithering between two questions, either of which I was sure I could give a perfectly adequate answer to, and wondering at one point if I was going to get cramp. (I wrote 17 pages in the end. Ow.)

Best spot for Evil Trick Question goes to one in the EC Law section discussing free trade issues. We were presented with the scenario of a UK manufacturer of some product (hand creams, I think) wishing to sell them to Austria, Switzerland and Germany. All had various laws or import procedures that made it awkward or impossible to do this and we were asked to suggest how EC free trade law could help the manufacturer in each case. The opening part of the answer was dead easy: 'Switzerland isn't in the European Union, so EC law is no use at all!'

Results due in mid-December. But no more study for now (just a pile of other stuff to catch up on).
