About three years ago [livejournal.com profile] bugshaw inherited a share of her late grandmother's belongings, including some of her book collection. We're now trying to thin our own pile of stuff down a bit, and we've admitted that there's not a lot of point in hanging onto hardback sets of books that we're never going to read.

Chief among these is a complete set of Sir Walter Scott's Waverley novels, very much like this one. It's pretty clear from looking on Ebay that nobody really buys this stuff, but I can't quite bring myself to bin it. So (unlikely as it seems) does anyone have a bookshelf they wish enhanced by a set of C19th hardbacks>?

Quite possibly, actually. I already have a subset from a (really nice) 1880s edition and did want the others to add to the "interesting old stuff" section of my library...

Ok, shall I drop them around next time I'm in your neck of the woods? (Probably in about a month or so)

Sure, or bring them to Novacon if you will be there.

Thanks!
