Hendon Raid: Mission Accomplished
Sep. 6th, 2005 11:24 pmSlightly belated thanks to
bellinghman,
bellinghwoman,
pmcmurray,
purplecthulhu,
swisstone and
tobesv for coming along to the RAF Museum tour on Sunday. Extra thanks to
swisstone for considerably supplementing my knowledge of aeroplanes olds enough to have propellors (Tony does seem fated to end up doing double-acts with people called Simon on these tours!) A pity the Bomber Hall was closed, as were the galleries on the history of the RAF itself, but maybe that's an excuse for another trip...
Following the mission, four of us carried out a follow-up recce to The Flask, Hampstead (I don't know the pubs in Colindale, but I am better acquainted with the ones in Hampstead and it was on the way home for all of us). Details of the raid are sketchy, but debriefs suggest it was very successful... :-)
