Just before I went for my naturalisation ceremony in February (fearing a last minute quiz - everyone very nervously said "Tea!" when offered a choice of tea or coffee), I quizzed my husband with sample questions from the US citizenship test. This began a most interesting unresolved debate as to whether the US declared independence from England, Great Britain, or the United Kingdom in 1776.
