There are plenty of websites, live journals and who knows what to support your West Wing addiction. As a fellow addict I can assure you that the quality of all these resources is much higher than it is for most TV-related addictions. There's even some decent fan fiction for when you run out of DVDs.
And there are script books and other goodies that you can put on your Christmas list...
Oh, and when you run out of West Wing series, you can now get Sorkin's Sports Night on DVD, and see how he recycles characters, names, jokes, situations...
I second yonmei. Indeed, I think you may be coming into The West Wing (assuming you're watching Channel 4's broadcast of the fourth series, as I am) at about the time I think it's starting to run out of oomph. It's not just that Rob Lowe is being written out, to cover for his departure for another series, but the storylines lack spark and the characters aren't as interesting.
The first two series are very good; they're what hooked me -- even though Channel 4 got cold feet about the first, and held onto it for a year or so after they'd acquired it before finally transmitting it. (And then broadcast the series late at night, perhaps in an attempt to ensure no one watched it. If so, they failed; the second and third series ran in prime time.)
The third series is also pretty good. The fourth....well, there's less input from Sorkin, but aside from that Channel 4 seems to have sat it, like the first, for a year or so before finally broadcasting it. (In the kidult hour on a Friday evening, perhaps again to minimise its audience.) You have to wonder why they bothered to acquire it in the first place.
I love the series, and I try never to miss the new episode on Sky (but being away from home has made that more difficult).
Excellent writing, a president you wish really existed, and just enough references to the "real world" to realise what a bad job the current "real" president is doing (and sometimes what a surprisingly good job he can do as well, usually by doing nothing when you'd expect an unthinking retaliation).
Losing Rob Lowe and Aaron Sorkin has made a difference, (I'd usually expect at least one "oooh/{hairs rising on arms/back of neck}" moment in each episode, either due to plot, acting or wonderful script, and I don't expect that of the latest series, but there's still enough good stuff going on to make it worthwhile).
THe West Wing is the only show that I buy on DVD rather than watch on Sky.
I need to be able to concentrate properly without any adverts. There's so much in every episode to make you think, but I lose so much becasue of teh speed of the dialogue and not having a good ear for American slang.
It's the best drama series I've ever watched -and the one requiring most intelligence from the viewer.

Good isn't it!
