I've completed Halo 2.

I won't say 'finally completed', as that would imply that H2 takes a significant amount of time to play through. (It doesn't: I finished the single-player campaign in about ten hours of total play.) Nor will I say 'reached the end of', as H2 doesn't have an end, climax or conclusion. Instead, it stops, and the credits roll. It doesn't even really have a cliffhanger - Bungie just seem to have run out of plot and development money at about the same time.

Yes, the graphics are incredibly pretty, and whilst the plot lasts it has some nice twists and interesting elements (you get to find out a whole lot more about the Covenant). But at the end of the day, this really feels like Halo 1.2 at best.

I had the same problem with the latest version of Unreal.

I'm looking forward to my new PC and Doom 3 and Half Life 2 though.

Doom3, as far as I can tell, is pretty much a remake of Doom1 but wth much better graphics. Some of what I've played is distinctly scary!

HL2 I've not played, but have watched someone play. It is beautiful! And the atmosphere of City 17 is very Village-like. Its a pity I don't have a PC to play it on.

Given a choice between D3 and HL2, from what I've seen I'd go for HL2.
