BSFA Thanks

Thanks to flyingsauce for an excellent BSFA interview with Roger Levy tonight - Roger's definitely going on my To Read pile. Also, thanks to Farah WINOLJ for sorting out what seems a pretty good new venue. Oh, and Hi to anyone I didn't get to speak to.

Apologies for rushing off abruptly as I did. I suddenly realised I was falling asleep on my stool and it seemed sensible to duck out when I did rather than struggling to move out quietly later.

But I enjoyed your interview, and felt inspired to bump Levy up the reading list, so a result, I'd say.

Like many of the people there I hadn't read Roger Levy's work, but he was quite interesting none the less. The new PKD? Hmmmm.

We had a discussion about PKD at the restaurant later (mostly hingeing around Dick's poor portrayal of women). Roger says he's read everything PKD ever wrote but he's also somewhat bemused by this 'new PKD' tag. At the end of the interview it was a question I think many people are curious about, so I felt I should ask it.

I get the impression that Levy is interested in perception and mental states. That by itself is enoough to earn a "PKD-like" tag.
