Breeding Gerbils for Fun and Profit

Well, the pet department of the local big garden and leisure centre actually, as the pet shop we got the parents from have turned out to be rather hopeless (in more ways than just selling us a male and a female gerbil rather than two males). But this place were far more helpful, and were willing to take the litter at six weeks. So we packed them all up into a travel tank...
...and off to Huntingdon Garden and Leisure, where they swapped our eight little gerbils for a credit note for £16. Now, Ben and Jerry cost us £5 each, so we've made £6 out of their efforts already - less the cost of gerbil feed!
Jerry is looking a bit round again, so there may be more on the way. Not so many pictures next time though, I promise.
