A Very Quiet Clanger

major_clangerSo, I've been on LJ for a week and have managed to say very little.
I meant to post on Monday. I really did. But Monday night was the Cambridge SF group pub meeting. Then I meant to post on Tuesday... but I was pooped after a long day (work-related trip to Wiltshire).
Wednesday I got home a bit early from work and decided to watch one of the pile of Buffy episodes sent to us by purpletigron whilst doing the ironing. That was series 6 episode 17. By the end of episode 18 I'd done really rather a lot of ironing without noticing time go by. Dinner got through episode 19 and a bottle of beer saw to episode 20. So much for Wednesday.
Last night was Buffy episode 21... the last one we have! It was followed by a phone call to purpletigron to (a) go "ohmygodohmygodohmygod", and (b) extract promises of episode 22 Real Soon. Much of the rest of the evening was spent sorting out a Freeserve Anytime account so that we can do LJ without even more exorbitant phone bills.
Which brings us to today, and I've run out of excuses not to post.
Lo, and I've even managed to write something without bitching about work (one of the rules I've tried to set myself for LJ).
