We have a final (until we change it tomorrow) programme for the Joint BSFA/SFF AGM event in Sheffield tomorrow. Remember, it's free to attend, and you don't actually have to be a member of either organisation or even attend the AGMs. (Although we might try to sign you up, and if you are a member then the Quorum Fairies would be very keen to meet you.) The venue is the Old Queen's Head, close to Sheffield Railway Station, and the event will be taking place in the upstairs room.
1100-1200: Jon Courtenay Grimwood, interviewed by Simon Bradshaw.
1200-1230: British Science Fiction Association AGM.
1230-1330: Lunch.
1330-1400: Science Fiction Foundation AGM.
1400-1500: Panel - Fantastic Sheffield
Sheffield in science fiction and fantasy, and indeed weird real history. With a panel including Fran Dowd and Peter Harrow.
1500-1515: Break
1515-1615: Panel - How Far Can You Go Before Leaving Alternate History Behind?
Adam Mars-Jones claims that it's an unwritten rule of alternate history that you should be able to define the difference between the parallel world and ours in a single sentence. How true is this? With a panel including Jon Courtenay Grimwood and Niall Harrison.
1615-Late: We're sf fans. In a pub. Use your imagination :-)
