...when you type Aliens v Predator - and feel you ought to put a complete Law Reports case citation.

Reminds me of a New Yorker cartoon around the time that "Malcolm X" came out. Two people are passing a movie theatre with that title on the marquee and one of them says to the other "How did I miss Malcolms I - IX?"

My favourite in that line is , um, for real. It was me reading a headline about "Die Boot", the new arthouse film.., and thinking it was a BRuce Willis film for at least 10 seconds until the penny dropped..

In front of Mr. Justice Coclecarrot, of course....

BTW, I presume you've heard about the American forces wargames/RPG con planned for Iraq in June:

Any suggestions on ways to get stuff to them for the convention without having to post it to the USA first?

Which in turn reminds me of the slightly suspect rumour that the film title The Madness of King George III had to be shortened so that American audiences wouldn't think they'd missed I and II...

I'd like to read that, if only to find out whgo the defending and prosecuting lawyers were.

Did anyone else catch the recent TV report by a chap who is trying to get councils to enforce the Act requiring property to display street numbers (to assist emergency services)? I loved the moment when he praised a cinema for prominently displaying its number: 300.

IIRC, the original title was The Madness of George III and he's usually referred to Over There as "King George" rather than the "George III" we use. So such a swap would make sense anyway, even without the rumour.

There should certainly be one connected with the film. I still hate one of my cow-orkers for lending me the DVD because it was, "Much better than people said."
