Reads Heinlein, Gets Very Uncomfortable

I've just finished reading, for the first time, Heinlein's The Door Into Summer as preparation for a panel I'm on at Satellite 1 next weekend. For most of the way through it was engaging enough, and I can see why it was recommended for the panel as a case-study of future-gazing from 50 years ago.

But then I reached the final couple of chapters. Is it odd of me to go Eeeuughhh! at ( major spoiler discussion )
