At the behest of
bugshaw I've been having a wardrobe clear-out: many of my clothes are wearing out, don't fit or just don't look right on me without being quite robust enough for the wear-whilst-doing-DIY pile.
My particular problem now is shape. I'm not a very fannish shape any more; I'm beginning to suspect that I'm not even a very 'average male' shape any more. Shirts that fit around the chest are ludicrously baggy around the waist, with vast acres flapping behind or hanging over my backside. Shirts that don't look too loose lower down pull tight across the shoulder and form strained creases over my chest.
B measured me and I am 46" chest, 38" waist and 17" collar. I am beginning to wonder if tailored shirts might be worth the investment.
