At [livejournal.com profile] bugshaw's polite but firm insistence, I have been de-cluttering my Technical Gubbins drawer in the filing cabinet. Is any of the following likely to be of the remotest interest to anyone anywhere?

Assorted NE2000 clone ISA ethernet cards (all RJ45+coax)
10m or so thin ethernet cable plus T-pieces and terminators
Matrox G4 AGP graphics card
Diamond Stealth PCI graphics card
3 CD-ROM drives of assorted vintages
Various serial cables and large-to-small D-connecter converters
Unused 56k PCI modem
Very well-used USR Sportster 14.4 modem (the 'stylophone' one!)

In one of his early novels, Ken MacLeod featured the US Army Teletrooper, a remote-controlled soldier designed to allow for, ahem, 'power projection' without risking actual troops.

Well, the Mark 1 version is being deployed to Iraq.

It's supposed to be run by a live operator. However, if someone suggests plugging the AI from 'Half Life' into it I will feel duty-bound to mention a certain movie starring the Governer of California.
