...and the day the Great Measuring came upon us all.
I've taken the week off to catch up on gardening and DIY, and today have tried out a new hobby: quantity surveying. I knew roughly how big our rooms and garden are, but after fun with a tape measure and calculator, I now know that we will need 0.4 cubic metres of gravel for the garden and that there is 8.75 square metres of wall for painting in the bathroom. I've also now got a much better plan of the shape of the study in preparation for the next bit of fun: designing and fitting some Ikea Ivar shelving to replace our current mix of MFI bookshelves.
