Last Monday we visited the Surrey County Show in Guildford; I'll do a more detailed post in a bit, but here are a few pictures of horses. Livestock (cute goats and herding pigs) to follow.

Pigs you say. Pigs are very relevant to my interests!

Let's just say that after watching the pig judging neither [livejournal.com profile] attimes_bracing nor I will refer to 'herding cats' again. Cats are easy.

ha, yes. As a former pig-keeper (as IF, pigs definitely keep *you*) I would utterly agree! You need a large stout board, comrades and balls of steel XD

I was there too, I did like the gundogs and goats and the prince and pea flower display

We went to the Cambridgeshire one at Wimpole today. Your pics look fab - am also in love with big horses with pretty hairdos - Suffolk Punches and Percherons mostly at the Cambridgeshire show. Only thing we DIDN'T like was the massive queue to park (though we woz warned). Caro and Austin went on bike, and overtook us. The perks of being fit are considerable. :0

We managed to arrive at about 8.15, not long after the show had opened and when there were only about 100 cars parked up. By the time we left at noon, there were several thousand cars in the car park, and the queue up the road out of Guildford was a mile long. We were very glad we went early!
