Eclipse

Clear skies, in the UK, for an astronomical event - it can happen!

Canon 70D with 70-300 IS zoom lens, ISO 1600, f/5.6, 1/2 s. Taken with 10s delay to let the vibrations from pressing the shutter release die down! I'm pleasantly surprised how many stars are visible.

Thank you for getting up in the middle of the night!

(I completely forgot to take today off...)

Fantastic! I was in bed. I take sleep whenever I can get it these days, so am particularly grateful to you for sharing this at high res. :)

Very nice! I was up early enough this morning to see it just past totality. But too cold-ridden (again) to bother trying for a photo.

Oh, and if you're thinking of trying this sort of thing again, investing in a remote control would help eliminate shake.

Fabulous picture! M and me set alarm, but skies in Cambridge had some light cloud. We could see the orange lovely, but through a light haze.

Wonderful photo! We were able to watch it from the neighbor's backyard deck, and the colors were lovely.

I completely forgot about it, which is NOT like me. But if I'm getting the time and position in the sky right it would have probably been behind a neighbour's tree anyway.
