Pensive Mira

[Mira, resting on convenient human's arm, in bed]

I'd like to think that Mira is pondering something deep and meaningful here, but experience suggests that "how long before I can ask for second breakfast?" is rather more likely.

Oh, Beautiful (even gorgeous) cat, no matter what she's thinking -- which, as you suggest, is probably something totally selfish. Cats. I mean... I'm trying to wrap my mind around the concept of an altruistic cat, but.....

Her daughter Sakura often looks like that. And yes, it's almost always wondering about second breakfast. Sake is very prone to polishing off her brother's food.

On the other hand, our two do seem to get a decent amount of outdoor exercise, though whichever left the dear squirrel for us yesterday, please don't.

(The squirrels have been blatant in our back garden for weeks, so I was assuming the cats were ignoring them. Seems no.)

For cats, like hobbits, 'how long before second breakfast' is a very deep and meaningful question.
Also, excellent pic. I for one welcome your feline overlord.
