The results from my OU Law Exam came out today, which together with my coursework scores gives me my overall grade for the course.

Coursework: 86%
Exam: 72%

Overall result: Grade 1 Pass (Distinction)!!!

I'm very pleasantly surprised at this - I thought I'd done OK, but really wasn't expecting a Distinction. In fact, the normal criteria for one of those is 85% in both coursework and exams, but the results announcement noted that this could be varied for some courses. Evidently Law is a tough one, and the grade boundaries must have been moderated down a bit.

What this does mean is that I'm definitely motivated to carry on (a good thing as I've coughed up for the next course). One course down, three more to go...

Next step is to become a lawyer, go back in time, and save you and bugshaw a fortune in lawyers' fees. Though I suppose if you could go back in time, money would rapidly become irrelevant anyway.
