My body needs a better diary (or else has far too good a one)

It is the first day of three weeks of leave for me. Time to sort stuff out around the house, go places and generally do things.

I have of course therefore spent the day in bed with a nasty bout of lower back pain. Why does my body only ever misbehave when I've got time off?

On the plus side, I've made some headway with my latest heroic attempt to actually read The Baroque Cycle. Perhaps having Radio 3 play continuous Bach is helping keep me in the mood.

That's enough sitting up for now.

Simple: over-developed work ethic :-S Any idea what might be causing the pain? Mine has never been pinned down, but has gradually moved up and away...

Being tall and a bit on the chubby side, I should imagine. Or to put it another way, my spine is living proof that 'Intelligent Design' is a load of old cobblers.

This sort of thing happens to me every couple of years and usually goes away within a day or so. Last time I had it badly it was set off by wallpapering, of all things.

(Up briefly for dinner, but things are getting better).
